Think about the depth of this today. It is important to realize the whole meaning of every single word composing the sentence.

"Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal."
~ Earl Nightingale

Think now for one day or at least a few hours.

...

Now that you've contemplated the above statement, think about YOU. What are MY ideals. Which ones of them are worthy? Do my actions lead towards their realization? If not, what DECISIONS should I make to change this?

If you answer these questions, you will know for SURE whether you are on the path to success, or just merely surving this life with a few crumbs of "wishful thinking". Wishful thinking is not success, as it lacks action, it lacks a definite goal.

Dictionary:
  • ideal - an ultimate object or aim of endeavor, esp. one of high or noble character: He refuses to compromise any of his ideals.
  • goal - the result or achievement toward which effort is directed; aim; end.
